Preparing for your filler appointment!
- Avoid blood thinning medications 5-7 days before your scheduled appointment such as Advil, Aspirin, Aleve, Ibuprofen, fish oil, etc (talk to your doctor if you take prescription blood thinners).
- Avoid alcohol 3 days before your scheduled appointment to lower your risk of bruising
- Stay hydrated, this will improve the healing process!
Post-treatment care
- Avoid touching/massaging the area for 24 hours
- Avoid intense exercise for at least 24 hours
- Use cold compresses or Acetaminophen/Tylenol for pain/swelling
- Avoid applying make-up to the treated areas for 24 hours
- Avoid direct sun exposure for 24-48 hours
- Avoid dental procedures 2 weeks after treatment
- Be patient, filler typically takes 14 days to fully settle!
